cosipy.modules.penetratingRadiation.method_Bintanja(GRID, SWnet, dt)[source]

Get the penetrating shortwave radiation.

Adapted from Bintanja & Van Den Broeke (1995).

Parameters:

  • GRID (Grid) – Glacier data structure.

  • SWnet (float) – Incoming net shortwave radiation.

  • dt (int) – Integration time [s].

Returns:

Subsurface melt and penetrating shortwave radiation.

Return type:

tuple[float, float]
